ABOUT
Helena Magee (she/her) is a lighting designer, assistant, draftsperson, and electrician for theater, dance, fashion, and live events. Originally from Dallas, TX, she is now based just out of NYC in Jersey City, NJ, and holds a BFA in Lighting Design from Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts. Helena currently works as a draftsperson and on-site support team member for Astetyx Events (Technical Direction/Consultancy specializing in live events nationwide) all while freelancing as an assistant lighting designer and lighting supervisor for theater and dance in New Jersey and NYC. Recent collaborations include UVLD, American Repertory Ballet, The Juilliard School, and Roundabout Theatre Company. She also has a brief history in digital lighting, collaborating with AEM Creations as a digital lighting artist and consultant on 3D scenes and models. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
